Yotsuba Group

The Yotsuba Group is a group of eight members in the Yotsuba Corporation. They meet weekly to discuss the killing of key individuals from competing companies to maintain dominance in the business industry. It has been found that a third Kira was in the group, possessing a Death Note and later the Shinigami Eyes, both of which originate from Rem.

During L’s probe on the group, Hatori is killed by Kira on October 13,2004 after stating intentions to leave. It is also during this period that Rem reveals the identity of the Yotsuba Kira, Higuchi, to Misa, which eventually leads to his capture and fall at the hands of Light, on October 28, 2004. Most of the members deduce that Higuchi was their Kira before his capture.

The remaining six members later die of heart attacks on April 10, 2005. Rumors of Kira’s responsibility in the deaths causes Yotsuba’s share prices to drop sharply. In Director’s Cut edition they die by suicide or through accidents.

In the film the role of the Yotsuba group is replaced by Takada. The group consists of:
